KOHL'S "TODAY'S AD" SWEEPSTAKES
OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID IN FLORIDA, PUERTO RICO, OUTSIDE THE U.S., AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

1. Eligibility/Entries: You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry and a legal United States resident (excluding residents of Puerto Rico and Florida). The following persons are not eligible to participate: employees of Kohl's and its subsidiaries, affiliates, sales representatives, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies, members of each of their immediate families (spouses, parents, grandparents, children and siblings, and their respective spouses) and those living in the same household of each. Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:00 AM ET on September 17, 2003, and ends online at 11:59:59 PM ET on October 9, 2003. Entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules.
   
   
2. To enter, go to http://www.kohls.com, click on the "Kohl's Today's Ad" Sweepstakes link, and complete the registration form by entering your name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, e-mail address, and daytime phone number. In order for the electronic entry to be valid, entrants must click on the "Enter Now" button on the Website. By entering this Sweepstakes, entrants give their express permission to be contacted by Sponsor via telephone, e-mail and/or postal mail. Entrants must provide a valid e-mail address to enter online. Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) which is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Proof of being the authorized account holder may be required. Limit one online entry per valid e-mail address.

   Or, to enter by mail, hand print your name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, e-mail address (if applicable), and daytime phone number on an approximate 3" x 5" card or piece of paper and mail in a separate envelope to: Kohl's Today's Ad Sweepstakes Entries, P.O. Box 709, Bayonne, NJ 07002. Each mail-in entry must be mailed separately, postmarked by October 9, 2003, and received by October 16, 2003. Limit one mail-in entry per person. All entries become the property of Sponsor, and will not be returned or acknowledged. No photocopied or mechanically reproduced entries allowed.
   

3. Drawing: Ten (10) winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received, on or about October 23, 2003. Drawing will be conducted by The Contest Factory, the judges of this Sweepstakes, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. Winners will be notified by certified or overnight mail on or about October 27, 2003.

   Grand Prizes (10): $1,000 shopping spree (awarded as four (4) Kohl's gift cards valued at $250 each).

   Total Prize Value: $10,000.
   

4. Prize Acceptance: Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if advertised prize is unavailable. Prize is not transferable, or assignable. No prize substitutions, except as provided herein. All taxes, including federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of winner. Winners will be issued an IRS 1099 tax form (winners are advised to seek independent counsel regarding prize winnings). Winners must sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release and provide Social Security number, except where prohibited. Release must be returned within seven (7) days of notification, or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. By accepting prize, winners grant Kohl's, its subsidiaries, affiliates, sales representatives, distributors, and advertising and promotional agencies ("Sponsor and its agents") the right to use and publish winners' proper name, state of residence and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes online and in print, or in any other media worldwide in connection with the Sweepstakes, without limitation and without additional compensation, except where prohibited.
   

5. Limitations of Liability: Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for lost, late, damaged, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, postage-due or mutilated entries by mail, or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions, delays or human errors that occur in the processing, transmission or receipt of entries, or for inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, lost or delayed by computer transmissions. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of being conducted as planned, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. By accepting prize, winners agree to release Sponsor and its agents, and each of their respective officers, employees, and directors, from any and all liability, loss or damage of any kind incurred with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize, or the participation in the Sweepstakes or in prize-related activities. By accepting prize, winners further acknowledge that "Sponsor and its agents" have neither made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied in fact or in law, relative to prize or to any portion thereof, including but not limited to its quality, merchantability, mechanical condition, or fitness for a particular purpose.
