The following promotion is intended for viewing in
the 50 United States and the District of Columbia only (excluding Puerto
Rico and Florida) and shall only be construed and evaluated according

NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Who may enter: Game is open to legal U.S. residents 18 years of age or older as of August 3, 2003. Employees, officers and directors of Kohl's Department Stores, its affiliated companies, subsidiaries, distributors, dealers, printers and/or advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with this game, including immediate family members of each (spouses, parents, grandparents, children and siblings) and members of the same household are not eligible to participate. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules of this Instant-Win Game. How to participate: To obtain a game piece: 1) Look for specially marked Kohl's circulars in select local participating newspapers on Sunday, August 3, 2003. Kohl's is not responsible for lost or damaged circulars not containing a game piece. 2) Visit your local participating Kohl's Department Store location and make a purchase. One game piece per person per transaction. 3) Request a free game piece and decoder by mail at the address listed below. To play the game: a) Take your game piece to the Instant-Win Game promotional kiosk located inside participating Kohl's Department Store retail locations. b) Follow the directions located on the kiosk to reveal the hidden message on your game piece. If the scrambled image on the game piece reveals a winning message, you may be a Prize winner, subject to verification. To play without purchase, or without visiting a Kohl's Department Store location, send a handwritten, self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Kohl's "Win A School That's Way Cool" Game Piece Request, P.O. Box 902, Bayonne, NJ 07002 to receive a free game piece and decoder by mail while supplies last. Mail-in requests must be postmarked by August 16, 2003, and received by August 25, 2003. Play as often as you wish by mail. Each mail-in request must be mailed separately. One mail-in request per outer mailing envelope. Photocopies or mechanically reproduced requests are invalid. Winning: Potential winning game pieces are subject to verification by independent judges, whose decisions are final. If more winning game pieces are distributed or more prizes are claimed than are intended to be awarded, the prize(s) will be awarded in a random drawing from among all verified prize claims received. Otherwise, Sponsor's liability for game pieces containing printing, technical or other errors is limited to replacement with another game piece, while supplies last. Odds of winning: Assuming all game pieces are distributed, odds of winning Grand Prize: 1 in 1,053,333. Odds of winning First Prize: 1 in 1,580. Odds of winning Second Prize: 1 in 632. Odds of winning Third Prize: 1 in 211. Approximately 31.6 million game pieces will be available. Prizes: Grand Prize (30): "School That's Way Cool" travel and vacation package. Winners will pick one (1) school from the following list of schools: Acting/Film & Modeling; Racing; Rock Climbing; Surfing; Skiing/Snowboarding; Cooking; Space; Music/DJ; Baseball; or Sailing/Yachting from the options provided by Sponsor. Each winner must confirm its participation and complete its "School" attendance by August 25, 2004. Prize includes a 5-day/4-night stay for two (2), round-trip coach airfare from airport closest to winners' residence, transfers and accommodations at or near the chosen School (double occupancy), meal allowances and school instruction based on individual skill level and the "School" chosen by each winner. Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $5,000 each. Actual value may vary and be subject to change based on airfare fluctuations and distance between departure and destination. Winner and guest must travel on same itinerary. Minors must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian at all times. All meals, air and ground transportation, gratuities, service charges, and any other expenses not specified are the responsibility of each winner; First Prize (20,000): $50 Kohl's Gift Card. (ARV $50 each); Second Prize (50,000): $25 Kohl's Gift Card. (ARV $25 each); Third Prize (150,000): $10 Kohl's Gift Card. (ARV $10 each). All gift cards are for use with in-store purchase only. Total ARV of all prizes is $3,900,000. All properly claimed prizes will be awarded. Claiming prizes: If you have a potential winning game piece, mail the original game piece, along with a 3" x 5" card containing your name, address, city, state, ZIP code and home telephone number to: Kohl's "Win A School That's Way Cool" Prize Claims, P.O. Box 709, Bayonne, NJ 07002. Only Grand Prize winners are asked to send prize claim via Certified Mail. Prize claims must be postmarked by September 8, 2003, and received by September 15, 2003. Sponsor will attempt to notify potential winners by telephone and/or regular mail. Prize winners should expect to receive distribution of their prize four-to-six weeks after submitting their prize claim. Prize winners may be required to complete, sign and return Affidavits of Eligibility, Waivers of Liability and Publicity Releases within 7 days of receipt of written prize notification or prize will be forfeited, except where prohibited by law. Each guest of a Grand Prize winner (or parent or legal guardian if guest is a minor) will be required to sign and return Liability and Publicity Releases within 14 days of receipt, except where prohibited by law. By accepting prize, all Prize winners and each guest accompanying a Grand Prize winner consent to the use of their name and likeness in advertising without limitation and without additional compensation worldwide, except where prohibited by law. By accepting prize, winners further agree to release Kohl's Department Stores, its subsidiaries, affiliates and related companies and each of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents ("Sponsor"), from any and all liability, loss or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with winners' participation in this sweepstakes, or with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize, or prize related activities. Schools may require further releases, which winner and guest must sign. By accepting prize, winners further acknowledge that Sponsor has neither made, nor is in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied in fact or in law, relative to prize or to any portion thereof, including but not limited to its quality, merchantability, mechanical condition, or fitness for a particular purpose. Second Chance Drawing (Grand Prize): You may enter the Second Chance Drawing for the unclaimed Grand Prizes only (should any Grand Prize remain unclaimed) one of two ways: 1) via the Internet at www.kohls.com or, 2) hand-print your name, address, city, state, ZIP code and home telephone number on a 3" x 5" card and mail each entry separately in an envelope to: Kohl's "Win A School That's Way Cool" Second Chance Entries, P.O. Box 709, Bayonne, NJ 07002. Second chance mail-in entries must be postmarked by September 16, 2003, and received by September 22, 2003, and second chance electronic entries must be submitted by 11:59:59 PM ET on September 16, 2003. In order for the electronic entry to be valid, entrants must click on the "Enter now" button on the Website. By entering the Second Chance Drawing, entrants give their express permission to be contacted by Sponsor by telephone, e-mail and/or postal mail. Entrants must provide a valid e-mail address to enter online. Limit one entry per valid e-mail address. Second Chance entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) which is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Proof of being the authorized account holder may be required. Sponsor is not responsible for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions, delays or human errors that occur in the processing, transmission or receipt of entries, or for inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, lost or delayed by computer transmissions. If, for any reason, the Second Chance Drawing is not capable of being conducted as planned, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Second Chance Drawing. A random drawing for unclaimed Grand Prizes, if any, will be held on or around September 29, 2003, by an independent judging agency, whose decisions are final. Sponsor will attempt to notify Second Chance winners by phone or mail on or about October 6, 2003. Odds of winning in the Second Chance Drawing depend on the total number of eligible entries received and the number of unclaimed Grand Prizes remaining, if any. Conditions: All game piece requests and entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, forged, mutilated, incomplete, illegible, or postage-due game piece requests or entries.
