	Bootcut This flattering style skims the thigh and has a slight flare at the leg opening. Great with boots (of course!) and shoes with chunky heels. Plus, bootcut leg openings are wonderful for balancing proportions and creating the illusion of longer legs. To achieve this look, try Chaps boot-cut jeans.
	Carpenter/Utility This casual, easygoing style fits lower on the waist and is relaxed through the seat, thigh and leg. Often features carpenter details and/or large utility pockets. Be sure to wear Lee® cargo pants if these jeans are for you.
	Classic Tried and true. This style has a traditional fit through the seat and thigh. Often with a straight leg opening or slightly tapered leg opening. Also known as regular fit. Sonoma life+style™ classic-fit jeans are staples for your wardrobe.
	Easy An updated version of relaxed-fit jeans. The easy fit typically features a lower rise waist. Nice-and-easy through the seat and thigh, so you have plenty of room to move. Wear apt. 9™ jeans for the classic comfort you've come to look for in jeans.
	Flare Bootcut styling not brave enough? Bell-bottoms a little too daring? Then jeans with a flare leg might be the style you're looking for. They're the modern version of the bell-bottom, only a little tamer. This style is typically fitted through the seat, thigh and knee, then flared at the leg opening. 	High-rise Like the name says, they have a higher rise that sits above the natural waist. For example, Gloria Vanderbilt's Amanda jeans hug your curves in all the right places while giving you complete comfort.
	Loose You guessed it! This comfortable fit is roomy in the seat and thigh. Usually with a straight or slightly tapered leg opening. You can find this fit in both regular-rise and lower-rise styles. Levi's® tapered jeans fit your comfort needs.
	Low Rise They sit lower on the waist, right below the navel. Many styles now come in lower rises that look especially hip on Juniors. Choose daisy fuentes® low-rise jeans for a comfortable yet fashionable fit.

	Skinny A retro fashion for a narrow figure. This style has a snug fit through the seat and thigh. Slightly tapered leg openings pool around your ankles, visually balancing your lower half. Check out Levi's® 545™ jeans if these pants are right for you.
	Slim Ideal for a narrower figure. Fits close through the seat and thigh. Most of the time, this style has a slightly tapered or straight leg opening. Like Levi's® slim stretch jeans. They will fit you to a T.
	Straight Leg This fit is favored for its straightforward simplicity. Straight, but not too narrow. Trim, but not too tight. Usually the same width through the thigh, knee and leg opening. See for yourself by trying Lee® straight jeans.
	Superlow Lower than low rise, these jeans typically sit a few inches below the navel. l.e.i.® hip-hugger jeans splendidly show off this style.
	Trouser A sophisticated look that's worn on your hips. Known for their trendy pockets. A loose fit through the thigh and straight-leg styling. Sonoma life+style™ trouser jeans give your legs a long, lean look.
	Wide Leg A daring style that resembles bell bottoms. Known for their snug fit through the seat and thigh. With extra-wide leg openings that balance your proportions. Does these jeans ring your bell? If so, try Hint™ Button-fly jeans.

Now that we've determined that a good pair of jeans is a casual must-have, fashion comes into play. If you want to make a fashion statement with your jeans, read on to learn about the newest denim finishes.

	Belted Buckle up! Belts are everywhere this season, and lucky for you, many brands are now including a belt with their jeans! The trendier the belt, the better. Look for your favorites, like suede, basket weaves and even lots of fringe.
	Blasted Short for "sandblasted." This term refers to fabric that has been washed with sand or another abrasive material to produce soft, faded results. For dramatic contrast, look for styles that have been superblasted in certain areas!
	Colored Do you have the denim blues? Then try colored jeans. These feature denim that has been completely dyed another color ... like cranberry, hunter green or brown. With lots of choices, you're sure to find a favorite!
	Corded What happens when you cross a pair of jeans with corduroy pants? You get corded denim, of course! A great way to add some texture to your denim collection.
	Crosshatch This must-have finish features a crisscross weave. It looks great in any denim hue - from light sandblast to dark indigo. Try stretch crosshatch, too.
	Exposed-Button A style of fly in which two "exposed" buttons are used in place of a zipper. Primarily found on jeans with a very low rise, like the too superlow fit.
	Frayed The cut-off look isn't just for denim shorts. Frayed edges are showing up everywhere, including waist lines and leg openings.
	Lace-Up What's the best way to wear the lace-up style? Go for a flirty lace-up fly. Or, maybe a side-laced style. And, lace-up legs are lots of fun. Go ahead, be daring!
	Oven-baked "What?" You might say. But these jeans are actually oven-baked. It gives them a semi-permanent, creased or wrinkled effect in certain areas. You get a cool, lived-in vintage look without wearing out the denim. It's almost as cool as being a rock star. Almost.
	Pintuck (a.k.a. sitch-crease) Featuring a seam down the front of the legs for a tailored, more formal look. A great way to "add" length to your legs!
	Slub Trust us, this style looks better than it sounds! It refers to denim woven with uneven yarns, giving jeans a totally cool, textured effect.
	Stretch There's so much to love about stretch denim. First of all, it stretches, so you get a fit that adjusts to your body fabulously, every time you put them on! Not to mention, it's sleek, comfortable and oh, so stylish. Perfect comes to mind.
	Tinted Denim that looks like it was dipped into diluted dye shades of any color in the rainbow. Red, brown, gray or turquoise - take your pick.
	Whisker Wash This wash features bleached-out marks that resemble whiskers (typically right below the front pockets). A big trend!

	Boot Cut With a slightly wider leg opening, this style leaves plenty of room for your boots (or shoes). And it looks fantastic too. A must-have style in our book!
	Cargo A cousin to the carpenter jean, this loose-fit style features one or more cargo pockets that can be found on the sides of the legs, the front or the back.
	Carpenter/Utility One of our favorites. This casual, easygoing style fits lower on the waist and relaxed through the thigh and legs. Often featuring large utility pockets, pliers pockets and even a hammer loop.
	Loose You guessed it! This great fit is loose through the seat and thigh, so you have plenty of room to move around. It's all about comfort, comfort and more comfort.
	Low Rise No rocket science here. This popular style sits lower on the waist than traditional styles for a fabulous, updated look.
	Regular Tried and true. You just can't go wrong with this straight-leg style. Regular fit (not too slim, not too loose) through the seat and thigh. Also known as classic fit.
	Relaxed Jeans just like you — relaxed! With a nice-and-easy fit through the seat and thigh. This style often features a straight or slightly tapered leg opening.
	Slim Hey Slim, pay attention! This is the style for you. Featuring a refined cut and a straight or slightly tapered leg opening
	Straight This fit is favored for its straightforward simplicity. Straight, but not too narrow. Trim, but not too tight. Usually the same width through the thigh, knee and leg opening.

	Acid Wash Believe it or not, it's back from the '80s! Featuring bleached-out splotches for an "acid-treated" effect.

	Easy Kids can take it easy with this style! Similar to the loose fit, it's more full through the seat and thigh for extra comfort. Usually with a straight leg opening.
	Extended/Husky Sizes They like the style and comfort of regular size jeans, but need a fuller cut. The solution? Extended and husky sizes, of course!
	Flare A modern version of the bell-bottom. This type is typically fitted through the seat, thigh and knee, then flared at the leg opening.
	Loose You guessed it! This comfortable fit has a loose, oversized feel through the seat and thigh. Great for active, on-the-go kids who have lots of comfort in mind.
	Relaxed Relax ... get to it. You can't go wrong with this style! Featuring a nice-and-easy fit with extra room through the seat and thigh. Usually has a straight or slightly tapered leg opening.
	Slim Sizes They like the style and comfort of regular size jeans, but need a narrower cut. The solution? Slim sizes, of course!
	Student Sizes Jeans sized by leg length and waist measurements (e.g., 26 x 28), rather than numerical sizes (e.g., 10 or 11).

	Appliqués These sewn-on designs and patches come in lots of fun designs, characters, shapes and sizes. Plus, they're a great way to add pizzazz to a regular pair of jeans. And everyone knows kids love pizzazz.
	Belted Buckle up! Many brands are now including a belt with their jeans. The trendier the belt, the more your youngster is sure to love them. We're talking glitter, grommets, suede - the whole nine yards. Plus, it takes the hassle out of shopping for a belt separately!
