BEHIND THE SCENES OF KOHL'S BRIDAL AISLE™ COMMERCIALS

Kohl's Bridal AisleLast fall, Kohl's Department Stores embarked on a search for regular guys who were in love in a BIG way!

How big? We wanted guys who would settle for nothing less than a once-in-a-lifetime marriage proposal for the girl of their dreams — on national TV!

Two months, 2,000 Internet hits, 500 applicants, and numerous interviews and casting tapes later, Kohl's found our regular guys.

Jason Stone, an Internet marketer from St. Louis and Michael Murphy, a technical adviser from Dallas.

Jason had been in two school plays, while Michael had never acted in his life! Neither had been on TV, ever. And they were crazy about their fiancées-to-be. They were perfect!

"Kohl's Bridal Aisle gift registry is all about necessities for newlyweds and celebrating newlyweds as they start their lives together. We felt very strongly about using real men in the spots," said Julie Gardner, senior vice president of marketing for Kohl's. "This is about real life, and we wanted to capture and present these special moments."

Here, you'll find more information about our guys, plus the answer to the questions on everyone's lips, "Did she say yes?"

The commercials were shot in December, with each man using his own, unscripted words. They began airing the week of Valentine's Day — unedited, as one continuous take, to preserve the feelings of the moment.
