What is the difference between checking out as a Returning Kohls.com Customer versus an Unregistered Customer?
The primary differences are that our Registered Customers can breeze through Checkout faster and have access to personalized special features in My Account.

When you begin Checkout, you have two choices:

  • Unregistered Checkout: You can shop Kohls.com as an unregistered, anonymous customer and proceed through our regular checkout process without saving any of your personal information at Kohls.com.

    Toward the end of Checkout, you will be given the opportunity to save your information and create a Kohls.com shopping account — which means your personal information will be at your fingertips the next time you shop Kohls.com. This is, of course, entirely up to you. Should you choose not to create an account, you can proceed through the checkout process anonymously.
  • Returning Kohls.com Customer Checkout: If you've created an account at Kohls.com, you're already aware of the great benefits available to our registered customers. Checkout as a Registered Customer, and your personal info will be at your fingertips for super fast Checkout!
  • Sign-up for Sale Alerts. Just provide your e-mail address, and we'll deliver sales updates directly to your desktop.

How do I Sign-in?
You must have a Kohls.com shopping account to sign-in at Kohls.com. Click on the sign-in link at the top of any page on our site. Enter your e-mail address (your sign-in name) and password in the open fields on the sign-in page. You'll be officially signed-in when you click on either the Sign-in or Continue buttons.

What should I do if I forget my password?
Don't worry! Simply click the Forget your Password? link on the sign-in page. Then, enter your e-mail address in step 1 and we'll send a temporary password to the e-mail address you used to create your Kohls.com account. This will allow you to access your account, where you'll be able to change your password — without losing any of your personal information.

How do I change my temporary password?
Using the temporary password you received via e-mail after clicking on Forget your Password?, follow these steps to access your account where you can change this temporary password.
  1. Click sign-in at the top of our homepage.
  2. Under Sign-in/Returning Kohls.com Customer, enter your e-mail address and the temporary password provided, and click Sign-in.
  3. Click sign-in & subscriptions.
  4. In the fields provided, enter your new password, and then retype the new password as confirmation.

How do I create an account?

There are two easy ways to Create an Account at Kohls.com: Create an Account or Create an Account while you Checkout!

To Create an Account:

1. Click sign-in at the top of any page.

2. Under Create a Kohls.com Account, click go to Step 1.

3. In step 1, you'll enter your sign-in name (e-mail address) and ship-to self address.

4. In step 2, you'll enter your billing and payment information (optional).

After you've created your account, you may review or edit your information at any time!

To Create an Account while you Checkout:

1. From your Shopping Bag, click Checkout.

2. Enter your billing, shipping and payment information.

3. After placing your order, you'll have the chance to create an account. Simply enter a password and we'll save your information you entered for next time.

4. Under save my info for next time, provide a password, then click Continue, and we'll create an account for you when you place your order!

What happens if I click the box to Sign-up for Sale Alerts?

You'll get the latest scoop about our sales, delivered directly to your desktop!

When you Sign-up for Sale Alerts, we'll periodically send e-mail messages about our biggest sales to the address you provide. What do you charge for shipping & handling?

Total shipping charges are based on several factors, including the shipping method selected and the number of items purchased. There is a base fee for the first item purchased, and an item fee for every additional product.

What do you charge to ship a Gift Card?
If you select Standard Ground Delivery service for your Kohl’s Gift Card order, your shipping will be FREE of charge. Our Priority Air fees are the same as defined in our Shipping & Handling policy. Shipping rates for these special items will automatically appear during Checkout.

Which carriers has Kohl's partnered with?
Kohls.com maintains strong relationships with several carriers, including UPS and the United States Postal Service. This means we deliver to anywhere in the United States and all military (APO/FPO) addresses.

Some Kohl's items — like perfume or vacuum cleaners — require additional handling to make sure they reach you safely. All typical surcharges are itemized with specific product information throughout the shopping process.

Billing Information

How should I enter my Billing Address?

Enter your first name, last name, address, city, state, ZIP code and contact phone number. Please enter the information exactly as it appears on your credit card statement. Incomplete or incorrect information may slow order processing.

If you checked the box marked Use this address for my Billing Address. on the Shipping Information page, then that address will automatically appear on the Billing Information page in Checkout.

My credit card Billing Address is international, but I live in the United States. Can I still place an order at Kohls.com?
No, in order to place an order at Kohls.com, your Billing Address must be within the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii only, including all military (APO/FPO) addresses.

Can I use a credit card with a different Billing Address?
No. We only ask that you enter your Billing Address once, which means that the credit card you're using during Checkout must share the Billing Address that's currently stored in My Account. If you'd like to use a credit card with a different Billing Address, no problem. Just update your Billing Address in My Account to match the Billing Address of the new card.

It means you'll create an online shopping account at Kohls.com! If you give us a password, we'll automatically save your personal information in a Kohls.com account.

Gift Services

How do I identify an item as a gift?
Check the Is this a gift? box next to your gift item in your Shopping Bag. If you have multiple items of one product and they are gifts, each item will be separated onto its own order line.

What gift wrap options are available to me?

Our Gift Services will transform your purchase into a personalized gift for just $5.95 per Gift Box/Wrap. Depending on the type of item and its size, we'll box and/or wrap your gift in our specially designed paper.

You also may choose to have us Gift Box/Wrap multiple items with a common Ship-to destination together or separately. Simply check the appropriate box in the Gift Box/Wrap column. We'll accommodate this request if at all possible; however, some items' sizes, weights and other characteristics may prohibit us from packaging items together.

Additionally, some items (including vacuum cleaners and luggage) cannot be gift boxed or wrapped due to the size and shape of the product/packaging. However, these items can still be sent as a gift with a gift message and gift receipt.

Can I include a gift message? How long can it be?
Yes, you can include a personalized, 100-character message with your gift. Offer "Congratulations," send your "Best Wishes" or say "Happy Birthday!" Your message will be printed on our special gift packing slip and tucked neatly into our pretty, cream gift portfolio.

Will my gift come with a gift receipt and can the gift be returned?
There's always the chance your recipient won't like it as well as you do, so we always include a Gift Receipt. The receipt doesn't tell your recipient how much you paid, but it makes our Easy Return & Exchange Policy even more convenient. The recipient either brings the item and the Gift Receipt to the Customer Service Desk at any Kohl's Department Store or mails it back to our Return Center, and we take care of the rest.

I forgot to mark an item as a gift; can I still get a gift receipt?

Unfortunately, if your order is already complete, you are not able to change the status or order a gift receipt. However, your gift recipient may use the packing slip as a receipt.

Also, remember that no receipt is actually needed for a return, it just allows you more options for receiving credit. Review our Easy Return & Exchange Policy for detailed information about your return and exchange options with and without a receipt.

How do I make a change to my order?

To modify your order, simply click on the link to your shopping bag. There, you can remove items, update quantities, change your Gift Wrap options and more.

How do I use my Promo Code?

It's easy! Simply enter the code exactly as it appears in the Promo Code field located on the Preview & Payment page of the checkout process. Then, click apply to see your discount deducted from your order subtotal at the right. You may use up to two Promo Codes per order. For example, you may combine a percent-off Promo Code and a free-shipping Promo Code. However, Kohl's percent-off discounts cannot be combined. To use multiple codes, enter one Promo Code at a time and then click apply after each.

Be sure to meet all the requirements of the special offer. For example, if the offer indicates you must use your Kohl's Charge, the Promo Code discount won't be applied if you use any other charge card. You'll always find details on the offer.

Remember, you must enter a Kohls.com Promo Code; we cannot accept offers from other retailers and/or Websites.

How do I use a Kohl's Gift Card or KMRC (Kohl's Merchandise Return Credit) as payment for my order?

Using a Gift Card or KMRC is easy, just follow these simple steps:

1. Enter the Card Number in the first field exactly as it appears on your Gift Card and/or KMRC.
2. Enter the four-digit PIN exactly as it appears on your Gift Card.
3. Click apply.

You'll see the Gift Card's value deducted from your order subtotal at the right.

You can apply as many as four Gift Cards and/or KMRCs to your order.

Issued in-store as credit for a purchase returned without a receipt.

What do I do if my Gift Card and/or KMRC doesn't have a PIN?

We're sorry, but right now, we are only able to accept those Gift Cards and Kohl's Merchandise Return Credits (KMRCs) with PINs printed on the back.

If you have a Gift Card or KMRC without a PIN and would like to use it online at Kohls.com, you may visit the Customer Service Desk at your nearest Kohl's Department Store and exchange your non-PIN Card for a Card with a PIN. (You can use either Gift Card — with or without a PIN — at your local Kohl's Store.)

You can pay for a Kohls.com order with a valid Kohl’s Charge card, or another major credit card, including MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover.

If you are interested in applying for a Kohl's Charge Card, print our Credit Card Application and take it to your nearest Kohl's store for processing or contact Kohl's Customer Service toll-free at (866) 887-8884 to find out more.

You may also use a Kohl's Gift Card or Kohl's Merchandise Return Credit (KMRC)* as payment.

Please note: In order to place an order at Kohls.com, your Billing Address must be within the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii, including all military (APO/FPO) addresses. We cannot accept orders placed with overseas bank credit cards or international billing addresses.

After entering my credit card payment information, I was asked to enter a Credit Card ID. What is a Card ID?
Your Credit Card ID is a 3- or 4-digit number used as a secure identification method that protects you from fraud and theft. Only the owner of the credit card can know this number, because it is physically printed on the card and is not stored anywhere else.

Your Credit Card ID is found in one of two places depending on your type of credit card.

  • For American Express cards: The Credit Card ID is a 4-digit number in small type above your credit card's main number on the front of the card.
  • For Visa, MasterCard & Discover: The Credit Card ID is the last 3 digits at the top of the signature strip located on the back of your card.

Can I use a credit card with a different Billing Address?
No. We only ask that you enter your Billing Address once, which means that the credit card you're using during Checkout must share the Billing Address that's currently stored in My Account. If you'd like to use a credit card with a different Billing Address, no problem. Just update your Billing Address in My Account to match the Billing Address of the new card. (Please note: We cannot accept orders placed using credit cards with international billing addresses.)

What is an order confirmation?

The order confirmation page provides you with a complete record of your order, including descriptions, specifications, quantities and prices for each item ordered. It also includes Shipping Address(es) and Method(s), Billing Address and Payment information.

Remember, the order confirmation page is used for future reference purposes only. It is NOT your receipt.

Can I use the order confirmation page as my receipt?
The order confirmation page is NOT your receipt. Your receipt (Packing Slip) will accompany your order, unless you’ve specified an item as a gift. If your order includes a gift item, its package will include a Gift Receipt.

Can I track the status of my order?

You bet! Your order tracking options are based on whether you have an online shopping account at Kohls.com.

Unregistered Customers: Should you wish to track your order, you may track your most recent Kohls.com purchase only. Just follow these steps:

1. Click order status at the top of any page.

2. Under Unregistered Customer Order Status, enter your Kohls.com Order Number and your Billing ZIP Code as they appear on your order confirmation e-mail.

3. Then click Continue.

Returning Customers: You may track all orders (past and present) at Kohls.com, plus view a detailed history of each order. Just follow these steps:

1. Click order status at the top of any page.

2. Enter your Kohls.com sign-in name (your e-mail address) and the password you entered when you created your Kohls.com account.

3. You'll see a complete history of your Kohls.com purchases. Click any Order Tracking Number to view the details of that order.

Note: Tracking is not available for USPS APO/FPO deliveries.

Can I cancel/modify my order/shipment?

When you place an order at Kohls.com, your order immediately drops into our fulfillment center flow to help ensure your package is delivered within our specified shipping time frames. Unfortunately, we are unable to change or cancel an order once it has been submitted.

Don't worry, if we have already placed your order, our Easy Return & Exchange Policy means returning a purchase is always easy at Kohl's.
