Graco Children's Products Inc. Passage™ Alano™ Spree™ Strollers and Travel Systems

Graco Children’s Products Inc. (“Graco”), is conducting a voluntary recall regarding the canopy hinge mechanism on certain Passage™, Alano™, and Spree™ Strollers and Travel Systems that were manufactured prior to March 2008. The following Passage™, Alano™ and Spree™ Strollers and Travel System models, with a specific stroller canopy hinge mechanism, may pose a fingertip laceration and/or amputation hazard to the child if the child’s finger is in the hinge area when the consumer is adjusting the canopy.

Graco manufactured two different styles of stroller canopy hinge mechanisms for these models. Only strollers or travel systems that were manufactured prior to March 2008 and are constructed with a canopy hinge as shown in Photo-A are affected by this recall. If your stroller is constructed with a canopy hinge as shown in Photo-B, you are not affected by this recall.

Dorel Juvenile Group Announces a Voluntary Safety Recall Of Certain Portable Play Yards

 

Disney Baby/Safety 1st Care Center™ Play Yard and Eddie Bauer® Complete Care Play Yard. Models included in the recall are 05025, 05026, 05037, 05088 and 05350.

Consumers should immediately stop using the bassinet attachment of the play yard and contact Dorel Juvenile Group for a free repair kit including a replacement bassinet, bassinet rods and installation instructions. The one piece metal bars supporting the floorboard of the bassinet attachment can come out of the fabric sleeves and create an uneven sleeping surface, posing a risk of suffocation or asphyxiation. The play yards are portable and were sold with a bassinet attachment and a built-in changing station. The model number is stamped on a sticker on the bottom side of the play yard on one of the support legs. “Disney/Safety 1st” or “Eddie Bauer” are printed near the bottom of the fabric sides of the play yards. Please do not return your play yard to the store where you purchased it.

Dorel Juvenile Group Announces a Voluntary Safety Recall Of Certain Cosco®, Safety 1st®, Eddie Bauer® and Disney® Branded Infant Car Seat/Carriers

When used as an infant carrier, the bolts that attach the child restraint handle to the seat can loosen causing the handle to fully or partially separate from the seat creating a fall hazard.

TuneBase™

SAFETY RECALL

Belkin Int’l Inc. is recalling the following products if purchased between April 1, 2009 and October 30, 2009:

 

 

Consumers should stop using these products immediately.

The washer of the TuneBase, a circular, black, plastic unit situated at the tip of the TuneBase’s cigarette lighter adapter, can cause an electrical short circuit when plugged into a vehicle’s cigarette lighter adapter.

Under certain conditions with prolonged periods of power-on (e.g., when the TuneBase is left plugged in overnight), some units with the defective washer have shown potential to pose a risk of fire.

SUFFOCATION HAZARD

SIMPLICITY DROP SIDE CRIBS

 

The crib’s plastic hardware can break or deform, causing the drop side to detach. Infants and toddlers can roll into the space created when the drop side detaches and become entrapped which can lead to suffocation.
