Larry Montgomery
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Larry Montgomery, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Kohl's Department Stores, joined the company in 1988 as senior vice president and director of stores. During the ensuing years, Montgomery held the progressive positions of executive vice president and vice chairman. In 1994, he was appointed to the Board of Directors, and in February 1999, he was promoted to chief executive officer.

Montgomery's retail career began in 1972 and included executive management positions with L.S. Ayres, a division of May Department Stores, and Block's, a division of Allied Stores Corporation.

Kevin Mansell
President

Kevin Mansell, President, Kohl's Department Stores, is responsible for the company's merchandising, marketing, planning and allocation, and distribution functions. Mansell also serves on the Board of Directors.

Joining Kohl's in 1982 as a divisional merchandise manager, Mansell was promoted to general merchandise manager in 1987. Over the next nine years, his responsibilities expanded to include merchandise planning and allocation, as well as micromarketing. Mansell was promoted to senior executive vice president of merchandising and marketing in 1998. He has served as president and director since 1999.

Mansell began his career in retail in 1975, joining the Venture Store division of May Department Stores, where he held a number of positions in buying and merchandising.

Mansell is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, where he attended the University of Missouri.

Tom Kingsbury
Senior Executive Vice President

Tom Kingsbury, Senior Executive Vice President, joined Kohl’s in 2006.  He is responsible for marketing, business development, e-commerce and information technology.  Prior to joining the company, Kingsbury served in a variety of management positions with the former May Department Stores Company, the last seven as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Filene’s-Kaufmann’s division, May’s largest division.  Kingsbury has 30 years of experience in the retail industry.

Kingsbury is a native of Wisconsin, where he attended the University of Wisconsin.

Donald A. Brennan
Senior Executive Vice President

Donald A. Brennan, Senior Executive Vice President, is responsible for oversight of all merchandising divisions.  Brennan joined Kohl’s in 2001 and has previously held positions as executive vice president, general merchandise manager; and as executive vice president, merchandise planning and allocation.

Brennan’s retail career began in 1982.  Prior to his career with Kohl’s, Brennan was senior vice president, general merchandise manager, men’s and children’s apparel at Burdines, a division of Federated Department Stores.

Brennan is a native of Illinois, and attended Marquette University.

John M. Worthington
Senior Executive Vice President

John M. Worthington, Senior Executive Vice President, is responsible for store operations, store administration, merchandise presentation and loss prevention.  Worthington joined Kohl’s in 1993 and has previously held progressive store operations positions including executive vice president, director of stores; and senior vice president, territory director for the northeast region. 

Prior to joining Kohl’s, Worthington held leadership positions with Famous-Barr, a division of the former May Department Stores Company.

Worthington is a native of Utah, where he attended Utah Valley State College.
