Q: What is the Kohl’s Associate in Action program?

A: Associates in Action is a nationwide volunteer program where our Associates work together to volunteer with qualifying youth-serving 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and environmental initiatives that benefit youth-serving 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in their communities. When a minimum of five Associates from one location volunteer for three consecutive hours for a youth-serving nonprofit organization, Associates can help the nonprofit earn a $500 corporate grant. For each additional location with a team of five, it's an additional $500!

Q: What types of organizations are supported by the Kohl’s Associates in Action program?

A: Kohl’s Associates in Action program supports a wide variety of qualifying youth-serving 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and causes. From the United Way to local parks to children’s hospitals, Associates are lending a hand and demonstrating our commitment to helping children in the communities we serve.

Q: How can organizations be considered for support by Associates in Action?

A:

  • There must be an activity/event that would need a minimum of five Kohl's Associates from one location volunteering for a minimum of three consecutive hours in one day.
  • The activity must benefit a qualifying youth-serving 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
  • Funds must be used to support youth within the larger community.

    Q: Will breast cancer organizations be supported by Kohl’s Associates in Action program?

    A: In addition to continuing to support a wide variety of youth-serving organizations and causes, in Wisconsin, Associates are eligible to support non-profit organizations focused on breast cancer.
