Unintentional and preventable injuries are the leading causes of death for children under the age of 14. Diseases like measles and whooping cough that have been controlled for years are making a comeback because some families can’t afford to immunize their children. In addition, many people are unaware that 80% of car seats are not properly installed, nor do they realize that fastening a seatbelt or wearing a bike helmet can be the difference of life or death for a child.
Kohl’s has partnered with hospitals across the country to help change those statistics and many more. Hospitals do much more than care for critically ill children.
They are advocates to protect children, educate the public and pediatricians and create new therapies for childhood illnesses. Since 2000, Kohl’s has raised more than $102 million to help support their mission of keeping kids safe and healthy!
