February 1 through March 15, Kohl's accepts nominations for the Kids Who Care scholarship program. Nominees are evaluated based on their volunteer service and are awarded scholarships and prizes at three levels: Store, Regional and National.
Store winners are awarded a $50 Kohl's Gift Card, Regional winners a $1,000 scholarship toward their post-secondary education and National winners a $5,000 scholarship, plus Kohl's donates $1,000 to a nonprofit organization on behalf of each National winner.
Since the program's inception in 2001, Kohl's has recognized nearly 11,000 youths with more than $2.2 million in scholarships and prizes.
