June 10, 2005 Kohl's Brand Momentum and Differentiation Continues MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis., June 10, 2005 Kohl's Corporation (NYSE: KSS) today announced plans to debut the Chaps brand in its women's and boy's departments in all stores and on Kohls.com in a one year exclusive arrangement, commencing in the spring of 2006. Kohl's will debut Chaps for women featuring a distinct, high quality assortment of women's lifestyle sportswear such as woven and knit tops, shorts, pants, sweaters and outerwear. At the same time, Chaps for boys will also be launching offering an assortment of woven and knit tops, denim and chino bottoms, sweaters and outerwear. Polo Ralph Lauren will be responsible for product design, development, production and delivery. "We are incredibly excited to be the first to offer the universally recognized Chaps brand for women and boys," said Kevin Mansell, Kohl's president. "We are confident that the high-quality, classic style will resonate with shoppers. This strong addition complements and strengthens our mission to deliver exclusive national brands, but even more importantly, continues to differentiate Kohl's in the marketplace." Chaps for men successfully launched in all Kohl's stores in the spring of 2005. With the exclusive introduction of Chaps for women and boys in the spring of 2006, the company believes that the brand may ultimately span additional merchandise categories throughout the store.
