Madagascar book and plush from Kohl's shoppers, who, by buying this
movie-related merchandise, will help raise millions of dollars for
our Kohl's Cares for Kids® hospital partners nationwide."
Madagascar is the highly touted computer-animated comedy by DreamWorks
Animated SKG. It stars four Central Park Zoo animals who find themselves
washed ashore on the exotic island of Madagascar. The civilized
New York zoo animals must learn to survive in a strange land and,
in doing so, discover the true meaning of the phrase, "it's
a zoo out there." Leading actors provide the voices for the
movie's lead characters, and include Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer,
Chris Rock and Jada Pinkett Smith.
The Madagascar book and plush are part of the Kohl's Cares for
Kids® program, which focuses on supporting health and education
opportunities for children. The items are the latest in a successful
line of merchandise made especially for sale at Kohl's in support
of children's hospitals.
In addition to the Madagascar items, Kohl's will feature an exclusive
"Live From Las Vegas" CD featuring classic artists including
Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett and more.
The compilation CD commemorates the 100th anniversary of Las Vegas
and its legendary sounds.
Kohl's Cares for Kids® makes special merchandise available
for purchase in support of children's hospitals every spring, summer,
fall and holiday season. The net profits support programs that are
tailored to each individual hospital's needs, such as:

keep up with schoolwork during their hospital stay.

and family members can learn more about a child's illness.
- Child Life Departments - hospital programs that provide play
therapy for patients, resources and support groups to parents
and other services that allow kids to be kids.
- Community Outreach Programs - hospital programs that extend
to the community, and address community needs such as teaching
stranger danger, offering dental hygiene and administering child
In addition to supporting children's hospitals, the program features
fundraising gift cards for local schools and nonprofit youth groups,
the Kohl's Kids Who Care® program, which recognizes kids who
contribute through volunteerism to their local communities, and
